Ceremony
We are getting married on Saturday, May 19, 2012. We chose the Silver chapel at Mandalay Bay because it had the look we wanted. It was also the first hotel we stayed at as a couple, so it seemed appropriate. :)
We originally booked Valley of the Falls, but decided to change to the chapel (Opal Shores package).
Our first wedding coordinator was Mischelle, who has since left MB. We now work with Kaylan, who is very nice and responds quickly.

Reception
Like many Knotties, we are holding our reception at Maggiano's in Fashion Show Mall.
Our package includes five courses plus four hours of open bar. We wanted to make sure our guests, coming from all over North America, ate and drank to their heart's content!
We originally worked with Marc, but have started working with Cassy since his departure. They have been nothing but kind, accommodating, and helpful.
We have the Calabria room reserved. We are inviting 54 guests, and approximately 30 will be in attendance. If we'd known we'd only have 30 people there, we'd probably have booked the Abruzzi room. But, as all Knotties say, assume 100% attendance. :)
DJ Godzilla will be spinning tunes all evening - we can't wait to work with him!

Reception Menu
We LOVE that Maggiano's serves everything family-style, so our guests can try everything. We have a few vegetarians and gluten-free guests; we tried to find a good mix of food that will satisfy everyone. I admit I also picked a few things that I really wanted (e.g. - both appetizers). :)
- Appetizers: Mozzarella Marinara and Crispy Zucchini Fritte
- Salads: Chopped Apple & Walnut and Italian Chopped (plus rolls)
- Pasta: Four Cheese Ravioli with Pesto Alfredo Sauce and Ziti with Marinara (meat-free)
- Entrees: Grilled Chicken with Tomatoes & Basil and Beef Medallions with Balsamic Cream Sauce (the latter was an $8pp upgrade)
- Side: Broccolini with Lemon and Garlic ($2pp upgrade)
- Dessert: Cheesecake and Apple Crostada
Cake Pops!!
We figured everyone would be ridiculously full by the end of five courses, so it seemed silly to spend money on a big wedding cake.
We've decided on Viva Las Cake Pops as favors after other Knotties' glowing reviews. Jackie has been amazing to work with and we can't wait to try their pops!! We've ordered red velvet and funfetti as our flavors - and we made sure to get extras for us to eat the next day ;)
We're having them individually wrapped so everyone can take them home. They will match our colors (purple and silver/grey).

Guest Transportation
We will be using the Double Decker Bus of Las Vegas to transport our guests from Mandalay Bay to Maggiano's. The bus will stop at Bellagio and downtown. It should allow our guests who've never been to Las Vegas to see the sites and buy us some quality photography time ;)

A 24-person bus will bring everyone back to MGM Grand after the reception. We have booked Bell Trans - the best price out there and we just need to get from point A to point B. :)
